7×24 Exchange New York City

Paul Blake · Oct 1, 2019 ·

Wednesday, October 23rd, 2019

C&C Power is excited to sponsor the 7×24 Exchange New York City quarterly event. The 7×24 Exchange Metro NY Chapter serves as a vehicle to carry out the 7×24 Exchange’s mission at the local level through regional meetings and seminars.

By providing an educational forum to IT and facility professionals, we aim to promote the sharing of experiences and facilitate a better understanding of the design, implementation and management issues involved in achieving high levels of uninterrupted infrastructure support.

On October 23rd, Curtis Ashton of American Power Systems will be moderating a panel discussion at the Tailor Public House from 4-7 pm. The Tailor Public House restaurant is located at 505 8th Avenue in New York City between 34th and 35th Street.

The topic of this 7×24 Exchange New York City event will focus on the 855 battery code adoption locally and nationally. This will include the current version and future versions. The NFPA 855 standard was developed to provide safety guidance for the growing use of lithium-ion batteries. These types of batteries are used in uninterruptible power supply systems (UPS) that provide emergency power in data centers and other mission-critical facilities.

Panel Members:
  • Jay Taylor -Director Global Standards, Codes and Policy Global  Industry and Government Alliances Schneider Electric
  • Craig  Wirtz -Strategic Account Manager, UPS Enersys
  • Jeffrey A. Betz, -CFPS,  ICC & NFPA Fire Inspector II, AT&T Programs and Standards – Fire Protection & Life Safety
  • Bruce Cole -Senior  Vice President of Motive and Reserve power Sales. East Penn Mfg.

NYC has a large consulting engineering community. We encourage decision-makers in the data center industry and consulting engineers to attend this educational panel discussion. Our hope is that all will benefit from some clarity on the code.

Tickets are complimentary for members and potential new members. Please RSVP to 7×24 Exchange New York Chapter.
