
General:
1. All cabinet assemblies are ETL, CSA and UL 1778 Listed.
2. BC2 through BC25 cabinets are provided with wheels and are shipped on skids with hinged attached
ramps for easy unloading.
3. Hinged front doors provided on BC25 through BC55 cabinets for easy access.
4. Turn-around time for deliveries are typically 2 weeks or less ARO.
5. Over 5,000 batteries in stock to facilitate deliveries.
Electrical:
1. C&C Power is the only supplier using special Fast-Acting fuses for critical short-circuit protection to
prevent battery explosions.
2. All circuit breakers used on 480VDC nominal buss cabinets are rated to 600VDC maximum.
3. Cables are UL Listed, High-Flex THHW type to reduce stress on battery connections.
Construction:
1. All cabinets are of welded construction and formed from heavy gauge steel with added gussets and
supports to retain squareness and integrity during harsh shipping and handling conditions.
2. All cabinets are Zone 4 approved and equipped with necessary mounting brackets and installation
drawing.
3. All panels, brackets, gussets and supports are provided with locators or notches to precisely fixture
assemblies into place during the welding process to insure quality.
4. Adjustable rails are provided standard to allow for multiple battery configurations and facilitate battery
upgrades in the future.
5. Steel parts are sent through a 5 stage iron-phosphate wash system to clean, pre-treat and plate the
metal prior to powder coating.
6. Cabinets top-coated with a hybrid epoxy-polyester powder and oven cured for a chip and corrosion
resistant, long lasting finish.
Assembly:
1. Heavy-duty polyester strapping material is used to tie down batteries and are secured with gripper
type seals providing 1400 LBS of breaking strength.
2. Protective rubber is placed under batteries to prevent damage to cases during shipment.
3. Cabling is routed down the sides of the cabinet, away from the front of the batteries providing full
access and easy maintenance.
4. Easy to follow series wiring is routed efficiently and neatly with tier to tier jumpers located at front
batteries providing for safe and easy maintenance.
5. Thorough quality control procedures include Hi-Pot testing to 2800 volts to detect for possible shorts
and any suspect or leaking batteries.
Options:
1. Cell Watch battery monitoring systems, completely installed, programmed and tested.
2. Custom harnesses for field installed battery monitoring systems, such as B-Tech.
3. Internal chargers for faster recharge times provided with power cord for easy plug-n-play installation.
4. Battery trays in lieu of rails, accommodate smaller size battery configurations for a more cost effective solution.
5. Paralleling terminal blocks and busbar landing junction boxes for large, multi-cabinet systems.
